Die Hard

Ok, I am starting to see how well my husband has been coaching my kids to be "die hard" OSU fans.

When I went to pick Noah up from school today, his teacher kindly recounted this story to me, that had happened only hours earlier:

Noah: Hayden, are you for the red team or the orange team?

Hayden: The red team.

Noah: Oh, thats too bad. Well, I will still love you anyway...

Wow! His daddy could not be any happier, I am sure! Next time this happens, Noah will probably offer to pray for those poor Sooner fans!! Looks like they might need it... hehe

Go Pokes!!

Happy Birthday, Sunshine!

A few days ago was my sweet Sunshine's birthday. I just wanted to post a few thoughts and pics to mark the occasion!

Lg, you are one of the greatest things that has happened in my life! I love you and so much about you! I love that you love the Lord, that you chose to become a Christ-follower at the precious age of 6. I love that you care so much for others, that you love your brother and foster brothers so much. I love that you have so much confidence in who you are... and I pray you will never loose that! I love your smile with your cute dimples and grown-up teeth. I love your wacky sence of humor that reminds me of your daddy oh, so much. I love your tender heart and strong values.
But most of all Lg, I love our Lord for choosing us for you!!
Happy Birthday! Love you, sweets!

New or Used? An Update...

Well, looks like you won't have that choice much longer. Seems like the federal government wants to use their valuable time and our valuable money to make a new law (effective February 2009) that will basically take away my and your right to buy used and resale clothing. This new law will cause MANY businesses to have to shut their doors and will most likely take away our right to buy used clothing at garage sales, tag sales and re-sale events such as JBF.

Prepare yourself and to get the WHOLE story, click HERE. Don't worry this does not seem to be a hoax. I have checked it out on Snopes and the story unfortunately seems to hold water.

Is their anything we can do? Is this something we can write to our congressmen about? Should we form a picket line at Children's Orchard to protest this insanity?

... maybe all of the above!!

UPDATE: It seems that the Consumer Product Saftey Commission has clarified some points in their broad law. Click HERE to see their clarifications on re-sale clothing as it pertains to consignment stores and other re-sale venues. Hope this helps!
